Every man, at some point in his life, has asked himself an age-old question: How am I supposed to get the girl of my dreams if I’m broke? This is surely what inspired Ryon of Ryon’s World to write “Grandma’s Car,” a highly infectious island-infused pop song about – you guessed it – trying to convince a girl to go out with you when you’re driving your Grandma’s car.
In the last few weeks alone, “Grandma’s Car” has hit Spotify’s U.S. Viral Top 50 Chart and been featured on the platform’s coveted New Music Friday playlist.
Native to the Washington D.C. area, Ryon began writing songs with his friend John Monds and together, they achieved multi-platinum international success under the name DIJI PARQ. In 2015, Ryon met producer Mike Onufrak, and the two have been collaborating ever since. The independently released “Grandma’s Car,” which features L.A.-based artist, Stu Da Boi, is their first hit single.
